Traveling to various parts of the United States is something that I enjoy doing because I often forget just how different each state within this country can be. The landscape, architecture, climate, and even people can vary drastically between each one, and I believe that it is this that makes the United States such an interesting place. When the opportunity presented itself for me to travel to and spend a few days in Phoenix, AZ, I knew I needed to take my film camera with me.

When choosing my subjects, I focused on capturing smaller, quieter moments within the large city. And so, whether it be through a photograph of a scooter or of an elevator ascending, I tried to focus on capturing images that one might not typically stop to enjoy.

Overall, with this project, I sought to slow down and immerse myself in the city of Phoenix, capturing the small moments I stumbled upon, as it is this that makes a city like this one so beautiful.
