Everyday Objects

Atlanta, Georgia (2024)

Everyday objects are often seen as mundane and not worthy of our attention, apart from when they are being used. I wanted to, through this series of photographs, challenge that notion and show that there is beauty even in the items that we look at for just a few seconds at a time. From photographing a roll of tape to a soup can, I wanted to focus on objects that we interact with for short periods of time and to present them in ways that are visually appealing. I believe that I captured a body of work that does not shy away from stating that the “mundane” is actually beautiful; it is just up to us to uncover that beauty.
